MTA – Metro‑North Railroad, Hartsdale Station – NYC

Litehouse Builders served as the general contractor for the roof replacement project at the Hartsdale Station for the MTA – Metro‑North Railroad. This work focused on resolving long‑standing water infiltration issues and ensuring the building would remain fully waterproof and structurally sound for years to come.

The scope included the installation of new wood framing to reinforce the roof deck, providing a stable and durable foundation for the new roofing system. A new slate shingle roof was installed, chosen for its longevity, performance, and classic architectural appearance. To complement the slate, copper metal flashing and gutters were added throughout, including custom copper ridge caps and detailing, delivering both functional protection and an elevated aesthetic.

The project also addressed and repaired damage caused by previous leaks, restoring the roof’s integrity and safeguarding the structure against future water‑related issues. With the completion of this roof replacement, Hartsdale Station is now fully waterproof, structurally reinforced, and better equipped to support the operational demands of the Metro‑North Railroad for many years ahead.
