JOC Contract – Various Schools, NYC

Under the Job Order Contract (JOC), Litehouse Builders has been entrusted with providing ongoing construction services across the five boroughs of New York City. This contract encompasses a wide range of projects aimed at enhancing and modernizing educational facilities, ensuring that students and staff have safe, functional, and engaging spaces to learn, teach, and gather.

The scope of work includes a diverse array of improvements, such as the installation of Public Artwork Protection Systems (PAPS) to safeguard valuable artwork within school buildings. Litehouse Builders has also converted classrooms to support evolving educational needs and installed new concrete stairs to improve accessibility and safety throughout various facilities.

In addition, the team has performed roof probes to test for asbestos and other hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with the highest safety and environmental standards. Other key projects include the construction of new playgrounds to promote outdoor recreation and the installation of new auditorium stages, enhancing each school’s ability to host performances, assemblies, and community events.

These ongoing projects address both immediate and long‑term needs, helping schools across the city maintain safe, modern, and adaptable environments that support education, community engagement, and student growth.
